The Rule of 70: Why Sox News, and the Republican Party, is a Fraud

By: Lucas Resnik and Hennessey Sahba

The poll results from last week’s poll have arrived from Sox News, and the results are a hoax. This campaign season, the far right facist news organization has been spouting conservative nonsense about the candidates and electorate. But never has it been as egregious as this most recent poll.

There is a term known as the “Rule of 70” in United States politics. The Rule of 70 says that if a candidate in an election gets more than 70% of the vote, you can assume that the election was a fraud in some way. For certain elections, such as many local elections, this rule does not apply, however, for a poll for the Republican primary, with two competitive candidates, this rule stands true. Which is why it is obvious there is some sort of collusion from the conservatives to get Sarah Smith nominated, as she obtained well over 70% of the vote for the Republican primary in Sox News’s recent poll.

Although one would like to assume the best with results such as these, it is difficult to, given the lack of verifiability of Sox News. Therefore, I must unfortunately conclude that there is some sort of collusion in the Republican Party. The graveness of this information cannot be understated. The Republican Party, and Sox News, have undermined democracy, and the voices of the people, and we will not stand for this. The election is being stolen from Maurice McDonald, as the Republican Party, and Sox News obviously have some motivation to give Sarah Smith the nomination. Maybe it is for money, maybe Sarah Smith has promised to protect the wealth of those in power, but whatever the reason is, it is undermining the will of the people, and must be stopped immediately. We must make democratic elections more transparent to the people and those around it. Our nation will not fall under the wing of corruption any longer if it has a chance of being prevented.
